show Abstracthide AbstractSeeds of one allopolyploid species, Gossypium hirsutum cv. TM-1 (AD1), and two diploid species representing the model diploid progenitors, Gossypium arboreum cv. Zhongya 1 (A2) and Gossypium raimondii PI 530899 (D5), they were induced to germinate under suitable environmental conditions, and after germination, seedlings were grown for six weeks under a 16-hour light/8-hour dark photoperiod cycle in the same controlled environment. Leaf tissue samples were collected from the fourth to fifth true leaves of three biological replicates (5 plants per replicate) of each genotype for transcriptome and proteome sequencing.
